Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser has in previous years been described as a 'cult' product and is a holy grail cleanser for many people. I have heard so many people rave about this cleanser and how amazing it is. I'm a sucker for a good review and so I thought I better give it a try. At first I was concerned as it is a cream cleanser and I have particularly oily skin, I was worried it would make my skin even more oily. To try out, I ordered the 50ml bottle with pump and muslin cloth which also came with a handy little pouch and a 6- step instruction guide outlining how to go about using the cleanser correctly in order to produce the best results. I followed the step by step instructions and at first found my skin feeling refreshed and revived. I continued use for about a month, however after a while I found my skin was beginning to get oilier when I didn't have makeup on and after I had washed the cleanser off, I found that it was leaving a greasy residue on my skin. Considering this cleanser says it is appropriate for all skin types, I felt a little disappointed seen as it had been raved about so much.
I would definitely recommend this cleanser for people who have dry skin as I think it would give your skin incredible moisture and leave it feeling plump and soft. However, I don't think this cleanser really suits others with oily prone skin and I'm not really sure it's worth the hype that surrounds it.
I really wanted to love Liz Earle's cleanser but it just wasn't for me. Not to worry it didn't go to waste as I passed it along to my mum who does suffer from dry skin and she absolutely LOVES it!
Let me know what you think of Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish?

I'm sorry to hear that this didn't work out for you. I have this and love this! I do have normal to dry skin though. I feel like I am in a spa when I use it lol. :)
ReplyDeleteI really wanted to love it but just didn't get on with it which is a shame. It won't put me off trying some other of Liz Earle's products tho. I'd like to try the Instant Boost Skin Tonic soon :) Have you used any other Liz Earle Skincare products? x
ReplyDeleteNo I can't say that I have but I am interested in trying some other Liz Earle Skincare products too. :) xo
